Palaces, lakes, gardens and folk dance — the best of Udaipur, all within a short drive of the resort.

Udaipur packs palaces, lakes, gardens and living folk culture into a compact, walkable city — and almost all of it sits within a short drive of the resort. Here is how to spend two or three unforgettable days. For the full list, see our guide to nearby attractions.

Catch the sunset at Sajjangarh

Begin at Sajjangarh, the Monsoon Palace, just 15 minutes away, for the finest sunset view over the city and its lakes. Arrive an hour before dusk to watch the Aravallis turn gold.

City Palace and a Lake Pichola boat ride

Spend a morning at the sprawling City Palace, then drift across Lake Pichola at golden hour, with Jag Mandir and the Lake Palace floating past. Wander the old-city lanes around Jagdish Temple afterwards for handicrafts and chai.

Gardens, havelis and folk dance

Stroll Saheliyon Ki Bari, the garden of the maidens, then catch the nightly Mewar folk-dance and puppet show at Bagore Ki Haveli — or simply enjoy a folk performance on the resort's own courtyard.

Make it active

Beyond sightseeing, our experiences team can arrange cycling, archery, aqua sports and a hands-on Rajasthani cooking session — perfect for families and groups. Hungry explorers can return to multi-cuisine dining without leaving the estate.

Where to base yourself

A relaxed sightseeing trip is only as good as your base. Our rooms and suites put you minutes from the action yet far from the bustle, with a pool and spa to unwind in each evening. Short on time? A weekend getaway covers the essentials in two nights.
